There is a problem with “positive thinking.” First of all, it does not exist. For seconds, it is full of wrong ideas. Take the picture as an example. I took it from a teabag.

I am not against fortune cookies or tea bag labels. The thing is that everyone knows that a fortune cookie is a fortune cookie, and you do not take a fortune cookie seriously. And the problem is that a lot of people take teabag labels very seriously. There is some sort of positive-thinking religion and it is very rooted in western newageism. I think the last POTUS was one of their practitioners of the worst sect.

When anyone affirms “the meaning of life is enjoy every moment of it”, what is the message? That you must to enjoy even the worst moments? The sadness of the death of a close relative or friend? Enjoy the sadness of a painful breakup? Enjoy being fired, run over by a bus, or being unable to pay your bills, so you can not turn on the heating in winter? Seriously…

And another consideration. If the message is not that, what, then, if you happen not to enjoy every moment of your life? Means that your life was worthless? That it has no meaning? Why people are so cruel!?

I do not know the meaning of life. But I know it will be full of very different moments…
